Summary
This work of art by Mark Twain is about Huckleberry Finn, a boy with no parents who gets into a lot of trouble, and his friend, Jim, a slave to Huck's stepmother, Widow Douglas. Huck Finn escapes with Jim to Jackson's Island and is captured by his Dad, who everyone thinks is dead, but really is not. Huck finally escapes and finds Jim on Jackson's Island. They have some crazy adventures such as finding the King of France and the Duke of Paris. The King of France is always always looking for the "quick buck" and pretends to be a man named Mr. Wilkes. The Duke pretends to be a man named Uncle William, a deaf mute so they can get six thousand dollars from a man named Peter who left the money in his will to the real Mr. Wilkes and Uncle William. Read to find out if Huck can stop them from carrying on with this lie.
Kid Book Critic Rating *****
I am similar to Huck in many ways, we both are adventurous and we both like pirates. We are different because he hates books and never wants to learn to read, and I love to read and is why I am doing this website!
