Summary

Clue of the Black Keys is about Nancy Drew an amateur detective.  She suddenly comes across a young archeologist, Terry Scott.  He says he has been baffled by a new case that he has to work on.  He says his archeologist group found a tablet that talks about a treasure of silver frogs.  He also says the archeologist who found the tablet, Dr. Pitt, has been kidnapped and the only thing to go on is the half of a black key.  Read to find out if Nancy Drew can save Dr. Pitt and find the treasure.

I thought this book would not interest me because it was about a girl detective.  And I thought the author would not do a good job in writing this book, and I was wrong.  Nancy Drew is a great detective, even for a girl.

Summary

Twenty Thousand Leagues Under the Sea is about a scientist who believes there is a monster in the open seas.  He and his faithful servant, Conseil, go to sea on a ship named The Abraham Lincoln.  They go out to sea and strike the monster with harpoons several times but they hear a clanging sound and the harpoons bounce right back.  But then, the scientist and his servant get thrown overboard with one member of the crew.  They swim around until they find the monster and hang on to it until Captain Nemo, the builder of the machine (the monster), lets them inside.  He shows them the many wonders of the sea.  Read to find out what are the wonders of the sea.

Twenty Thousand Leagues Under the Sea riveted me because its filled with wonders of the sea that no one knew about.  

Moby Dick

Summary

Moby Dick is about a giant whale, named Moby Dick.  There is a captain who lost his leg to Moby Dick.  He wants revenge on Moby Dick and is out to get him.  On his ship read about his many adventures of trying to get revenge on Moby Dick.  Find out who wins this fearsome battle between a mad captain and a giant whale.

Moby Dick really strikes my attention because it is an action and adventure book with a hint of comedy and humor.  Also, whales are one of my favorite water creatures.

Mystery of the Chinese Junk

Summary

The Mystery of the Chinese Junk is about Frank and Joe Hardy, who have another mystery to solve.  This mystery is about a group of smugglers and their leader called The Chameleon.  But before the Hardy's know this, they try to set up a boating business.  They find out the boat they have bought has a treasure map in it and that is what the smugglers are after.  Read to find out if Frank and Joe can find the map and not let the smugglers steal it.

I liked this Hardy Boys book because I am interested in China and that is where some of the story takes place.  It kept me reading because I wanted to know what the "Chinese junk" was and if you want to know, you have got to read it yourself!

Funny Frank

Summary

Funny Frank is about a new born chicken who wants be a duck.  He spends all of his time watching the ducks swim in the lake.  His mom gets really worried when he almost drowns trying to swim.  A little girl tries to help him and made him a wet suit and flippers.  Read to find out if they will work and if Funny Frank can live his life like a duck.

Funny Frank is an okay book because its not as interesting as most books.  It is really just about some chicken who has a problem.

George is a boy who lives a very boring life. He lives on a farm miles away from nowhere with a mean old Grandma. His Grandma takes a medicine every five hours. George decides to make a new medicine for her, one that will make her shoot up in the air and crack and pop and make her tummy be on fire. Read to find out if George can carry on with his plan and make his Grandma act weird.

I liked George's Marvelous Medicine because George is a lot like me, mischievous, always looking for fun, funny and wants to have a good time. I continued reading because it was funny and made me laugh like a maniac.

Esio Trot

Esio Trot is about a man named Mr. Hoppy, who is in love with a woman, Ms. Silver, who lives below him. One day she says, "you know Mr. Hoppy, I wish my tortoise, Ralfie, would grow more". So Mr. Hoppy thought up a clever idea to make Ms. Silver think Ralfie was growing hoping this would make her like him so they could be married. Read to find out if Mr. Hoppy can carry out with his plan and get away with it.

This is a one star book because there is not really any excitement in it. It is a boring old story about a man who wants to be married.

The mission in this book is they have to find a unicorn and unlock it from its spell. They go to New York and they see people snow skiing and they see a merry go round. They go to this weatherman and he tells them there is going to be a blue moon and they ask him what a blue moon is. Read to find out if Jack and Annie find the unicorn.

I really enjoy treasure hunts, and like treasure myself. I mean, who doesn't? Plus, this book has Frank and Joe on the case and their books are always very exciting.

Geronimo Stilton, Surf's Up Geronimo!

Summary

Surf's Up Geronimo is a funny book and is about Geronimo Stilton, a mouse, who really wants to take a vacation. He makes the big mistake of letting his mischievous brother, Trap, plan his vacation. He thinks he is going to a luxury hotel with sandy beaches and a great view. But he ends up in a falling apart shack where the only way you can get a view is popping your eyes out, stretching your neck as far as it can go, turning it to the left and looking through high-powered binoculars! Read to find out if Geronimo Stilton can put up with all of this nonsense!

Surf's Up Geronimo kind of got my attention. I think it was an okay book but pretty much the only reason I liked it is because it is really funny about the way Geronimo gets caught in the bad hotel.
